Work Health and Safety (WHS)

Bridgecorp Building is committed to providing client satisfaction by implementing/maintaining/reviewing its Work Health and Safety system in line with AS/NZS 4801:2001, Occupational Health and Safety Standards. This program is regularly reviewed to maintain a high level of compliance. Safety audits are conducted at regular intervals – allowing Bridgecorp Building to maintain high expectations and high standards. Safety is everyone’s responsibility and is a priority and Bridgecorp Building. Our Work Health and Safety System is an integral component of our Management System. We place the highest priority on ensuring a safe work environment at all times and adhere to all current Work Health and Safety legislation, regulations, codes and other applicable industry standards.

Environment

Bridgecorp Building is committed to providing client satisfaction by implementing/maintaining/reviewing its Environmental practices and procedures in line with AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004, Environmental Management. Looking after the environment is the responsibility of every employee at Bridgecorp Building. All employees are provided with appropriate training and resources to maintain high standards. We achieve continual environmental improvement through our environmental management system with objectives and targets to minimise our environmental footprint on every project.

Performance Reviews

Bridgecorp Building has developed a culture of high expectations and high standards – we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding results for all of our customers. All Bridgecorp Building employees are engaged in performance reviews and specialised coaching sessions. Bridgecorp Building employees have benefited immensely throughout the performance review rounds. The results have clearly spoken for themselves – excellent lines of communication, greater cooperation, increased productivity and better overall performances resulting in a shared vision and commitment to you the customer. We also pride ourselves on delivering customer satisfaction by engaging qualified, experienced and skilled employees with a continual focus on education and training. Bridgecorp Building monitors and evaluates the performance of all subcontractors, suppliers and consultants – maintaining transparent lines of communication on compliance and quality issues.

Indigenous Staff Employment Pathways –

Quality People and Partnerships
Bridgecorp Building has been involved in the Strategic Housing and Infrastructure Program (SIHIP) through New Futures Alliance – completing over 90 new home builds throughout Santa Teresa NT, Wadeye NT and Gapuwiyak NT. During this time Bridgecorp Building has been recognised as a leader in Indigenous Employment through the introduction of an Indigenous Staff Employment Pathways program and a Yolngu staff professional development program .This has led to the development of a cultural competencies framework for each community highlighting the importance of utilizing strong women and strong men in each community. This was achieved through a shared framework that provided transparency about job expectations and standards. Bridgecorp Building has embraced the training of indigenous community members and will continue to do so into future projects.
